The Hamlet of Wells is on the Lake Algonquin in Hamilton County, NY. Lake Algonquin is about a mile long lake based on a dam on the south end of the Sacandaga River in the hamlet. The Town of Wells is much larger and has lots of pristine wilderness area to locate that special retreat from the stress of modern life. We have every type of dwelling from simple cabins and cottages to modern all year homes and even a few turn key ready businesses We have them in the woods, the a river, on Lake Algonquin or right in the center of town
It is just the sort of peaceful but easily accesible location that makes it an ideal place to locate that vacation or retirement home. It is smack in the middle of Hamilton County, the most rural and green county the whole North Eastern United States. Wells is also the location of our real estate office right on NY 30 by the dam and is our home too.
